Their discussion explored how artificial intelligence is reshaping the legal landscape and the future of antitrust enforcement.

Judge Warns Attys on AI, Eyes Antitrust Changes,” Chief Justice Guerrero noted that “AI tools hold promise for improving court efficiency, but attorneys must be mindful of the ethical and evidentiary challenges they pose.” The Chief Justice also noted that state antitrust law could extend beyond the contours of federal antitrust law, reminding the audience that the state’s Supreme Court has said in the past that California’s Cartwright Act is broader in range and deeper in reach.
