David Graham is Senior Counsel at Bartko Pavia LLP and a member of the Real Estate Practice. David’s clients value his wisdom and expertise from having been in their seat—18 years of in-house legal and business leadership focused on tenant-side retail real estate. David has developed strong relationships with developers and owners throughout the country, having negotiated leases directly with them for stores at many of the top regional malls, power centers, lifestyle centers and central business districts. David’s expertise has been informed by deep inhouse experience in the real estate store development lifecycle, shopping center construction and retail build-out construction, lease administration, lease accounting, store operations and facilities, and risk management. Prior to joining Bartko Pavia, David led the Real Estate Legal department for 9 years for Chico’s FAS, which operated a portfolio of 1,500 stores under the Chico’s, White House Black Market, and Soma Intimates banners. Before that, David served as the head of Real Estate Legal for DSW Designer Shoe Warehouse (now known as Designer Brands, Inc.), which doubled the store count to over 500 during his 9-year tenure.
