Bartko Pavia represents public and private corporations, partnerships, and individual clients in a wide range of matters. We are particularly experienced in mergers and acquisitions, asset purchases and sales, venture capital investing, financing, joint ventures, distribution, licensing, franchising, executive employment and consulting agreements, and partnerships. Bartko Pavia’s expertise also includes areas of media, marketing, public relations, and entertainment law. Our firm takes pride in truly knowing our clients inside and out, allowing us to craft strategies that are not only tailored to their immediate needs but also optimized for the overall success of our clients’ business.

Since our earliest days, Bartko Pavia has worked closely with clients to establish and grow new business ventures in the United States and Europe, resolving associated legal problems, while helping clients organize and structure their businesses by negotiating and preparing agreements governing financing and personnel issues. Our focus is on delivering clear, decisive solutions that help drive our clients’ goals forward.

As our clients grow and expand, so does the scope of our assignments: buying and selling businesses, raising capital and bank financing, participating in joint ventures, entering into strategic relationships, negotiating distribution and licensing agreements, and, in certain cases, helping clients with restructuring and/or ultimately liquidating or selling their businesses. Bartko Pavia understands the unique challenges that clients face in a rapidly changing world. We only succeed when our clients succeed—a principle that drives every aspect of our work.

Bartko Pavia has a special understanding and a particular sensitivity of the needs and concerns of foreign-based clients who wish to do business in the U.S., and of U.S.-based clients who wish to do business in both the U.S. and Europe. With decades of experience, Bartko Pavia’s approach combines business-centric problem solving with a willingness to assess and address risks that might not be immediately obvious to our clients. We help clients confidently and effectively navigate the complexities of cross-border legal matters.

At Bartko Pavia, we are more than legal advisors—we are problem solvers committed to our clients’ long-term success. Our personalized, efficient, and insightful strategies empower businesses to thrive in a fast-moving, unpredictable world.

Bartko Pavia acts as a general counsel and handles discrete assignments for U.S. banks as well as branches, agencies, and representative offices of European and Asian banks, and other financial institutions in the United States. Our firm has chartered banks, thrifts, branches, and agencies for various foreign banks, as well as organized and obtained licenses for broker-dealers and investment advisors. Our hands-on, high-level approach ensures that we know our clients inside and out, providing the quality of care and personalized attention that sets us apart. Bartko Pavia handles a wide range of complex investment matters for its banking clients, including regulatory, corporate, compliance, and governance matters, as well as the preparation of a full range of loan, credit, security and pledge agreements, guarantees, and related lending documents. Our firm regularly advises clients with documenting syndicated loans, participation financing, real estate-secured and asset-based lending, financing for stock and asset acquisitions, restructuring of U.S. and foreign indebtedness, receivable financing, currency and interest rate swaps, and export financing. Additionally, Bartko Pavia is committed to protecting our clients’ interests, with extensive experience in enforcing and defending lenders’ rights in the courts. With every assignment, we focus on what matters most to our clients—achieving results that align with their business objectives.

Bartko Pavia’s real estate practice offers unparalleled expertise across the full spectrum of real estate transactions and disputes. Representing tenants, property owners, developers, and investors nationwide, and worldwide, the firm handles leasing, acquisitions, sales, financing and management of commercial, retail, industrial and residential properties. The team is well-versed in guiding clients on complex issues including environmental assessment analysis. We bring significant experience to diverse transaction types, including drafting and negotiating purchase and construction agreements for corporate headquarters, distribution centers, warehouse facilities, and office projects. We work seamlessly to assist clients with comprehensive due diligence, lease restructuring, operating expense evaluations, and architectural and construction contracts. Whether guiding clients through retail, restaurant, office, or industrial leases or resolving related disputes, Bartko Pavia delivers innovative solutions tailored to the client’s business objectives.
